As far as I know, the supermarkets have sufficient quantities of food and drinks. If they run out of something, it's again available next day. And Nova Gorica (a bigger town with lots of supermarkets) is not far away if you have a car.

My sister and I are going to be stopping in Germany and then taking the bus to the festival from Berlin. Unfortunately, since dragging supplies on the plane from the US would be too expensive, we're going to have to buy all our camping supplies (lanterns, air mattresses, blankets, pillows, etc) once we arrive. Do you think it would it be cheaper to do this in Berlin or Slovenia?

i think prices are similiar.. we are both in European Union.. But this year they offer already build tent for rent.. consider that option too

Don't know hom much it cost in Slovenia, but if you're heading straight to Tolmin you have no many things to chose from, but since most of the great camping supplies and tents and stuff are Germans it might be cheaper to buy in Berlin and also you'll have many kind of things in the big city.

as far as camping supplys(tents, inflatable mattreches, blankets and pillows) r concerned u should find a JYSK store(don't think there is one in Tolmin but there r two on the way from the highway/airport Ljubljana to Kranj, Škofja Loka and so on).
there is probably also one in most other large towns. as for beer, Mercator has Staropramen for 89c a 0,5l can.
