The only way to make me really deep satisfied is: Bring Undertow on the line-up next year.

Couple of ideas:
-SepticFlesh (surely they'll be around next year with the new album?) -Aborted -Twelve Foot Ninja (that's a long shot, I know) -Zornheym -Dying Fetus (once again with the fresh album) -Blood Red Throne -Cryptopsy (I think they have new stuff coming out as well?) -Djerv -Raised Fist -Dead Label -Decapitated -Mors Principium Est -Allegaeon (unicorn type of wish innit?) -Gorod (I'd come to the festival only for them) -Anaal Nathrakh -Aspherium -The Modern Age Slavery (not sure how active they are though) -Fallujah -Cattle Decapitation

2ndStageRox wrote: Well yeah the problem with why there aren't more black metal bands is more that they all 'need' to play at night. I understand that, since the night and the lights bring a better show/mysticism for them. It's quite a regular demand really and there is just not enough night slots to accomodate black metal bands and other genre headliners, who of course also like to play on the last slots. Black metal is my favourite subgenre in metal, so be sure I would want more of it like I have said: headliners suck anyway (90% of them) so look into mid size bands - theyre alot better, cheaper, dont "need" dark, theyre more interesting and so on Rockster wrote: I may be wrong, but I got impression like this initial 2018 bands announcement got relatively positive acceptance among your audience compared to last year announcements?
last years first announcements were good - only problem was that not much anything good came after those and I havent met anybody yet IRL who have said anything positive about this years announcements

For me good headliner were or could be:
Eluveitie, Megadeth, Slayer, Carcass, Cradle of Filth, Satyricon, Dark Tranquillity, Paradise Lost, Subway to Sally, Epica, In Flames, Testament, Kreator, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Doro, Amaon Amarth, Heaven shall Burn, Accept.
So I don't think that 90% of the headliner suck. That's the problem or luck with different tastes.

You don't like death metal n'shit at MD as you said, so I doubt that Bloodbath are your idea of good announcement. Doro? Do you like Doro? I don't think so. Are you into heavy Katana? Headliners Opeth? I honestly doubt. Ok there was Batushka. What else? Symphonic pop rock Visions of Atlantis? Symphonic rock Xandria? I don't think so. I bet my left nut that you didn't like last year first announcements either. You're too inconsistent in your arguments to be taken serious after such statement. :) Rockster wrote: and I havent met anybody yet IRL who have said anything positive about this years announcements You should hang out more with metalheads IRL ;-)

So 2 good out of 6 was pretty ok. Then they announced 60 bands and there was only handful of ok bands more - thats was just sad.
