Hi, I got an available apartment offer through the tourism site in Tolmin. The email states to send 126 euro deposit within 5 days to their bank account. I'm not really comfortable wiring money, plus it costs like $30 cad just to send that. Is this actually how it normally works? I can't get ahold of anyone there and I've only got a day left to make the reservation. I'll send it if it's legit but I just don't understand why they're operating this way. It's not even really about the money - I just don't want to show up and not have a place to sleep. Anyone else done this?

We have only used sites like booking.com etc - some apartments want that you pay your stay upfront, but throught those sites its not problem since its legit business

I wouldnt send money to anyone blindly

If you booked this through any of these http://www.metaldays.net/50/accommodation it shall be safe. Anyway...it is up to you, of course.
You shall know that all accommodations available in Tolmin and surrounding will be booked out soon and that is the reason accommodation providers insist on pre-payment. There is more demand than available accommodation.
