Do you have any other ideas, where I can take my wife when the Music is getting tooooo heavy (for her) ;-)

The ravine is probably Tolmin Gorge which is about an hour and a half walk from the festival site (depending on how fast you walk and the weather). There's also paragliding, white water rafting etc in the local area. Further afield you could go to Kobarid or even Bled/Bohinj both are doable by public transport from the festival if you have no car but Bled/Bohinj would require some planning with trains

alternativel just do what a lot of people seem to do and spend most of the week on the beach and playing in the river and only head to the arena if there's a band you especially want to see. I know people who have been there for the whole week without going into the arena.

Tolmin gorge is beautiful. Last year there was a bus going there near the bakery.
Longer trips: Piran, situated at the sea. Beautiful and you can take a swim in warm water...
Postojna, largest caves to visit worldwide, I think...
Got the same. Will be there with my wife for her first time and I need to have some programm beside Heavy Metal...

Have much fun!!!

Lots of stuff to do around Tolmin!
I'll start with the nearest things:
-hiking to a pretty and nearby waterfall
-hiking through Tolmin gorge
-hikind, rafting, kayaking, climbing, cycling, hydrospeed, paragliding, horseriding, etc in the area of Tolmin, Kobarid, and Bovec
-hiking to large waterfall Slap Kozjak near Kobarid

If you want to go further/on day trips, and preferably have transport, i recommend:

-Idrija silvermine
-Postonja caves
-Predjama castle, caves, and gorge
-Bohinj lake
-Bled lake and castle (but try to avoid the rest of this touristy town, it sucks)

Beautiful shot, I like it! If you like Slovenia, you can check Tolmin Gorges and Kozjak waterfall. I'd also recommend Kobilarna Lipic and Postojnska jama.
